MidSummer Nights' Fair Held Over Weekend
The 33rd annual MidSummer Nights' Fair was held on Friday and Saturday at Lyons Park near campus with exhibiting artists, craftspeople, musicians, and food vendors.
The MidSummer Nights' Fair is a community event organized by the Firehouse Art Center each year to bring artisans and people together, and allow the Firehouse Art Faculty to be showcased for the public, according to the Firehouse Web site.
"I love the Firehouse programs," said Scott Morgan, a student of the Firehouse Art Center's Stone Sculpting class. "They are interesting, it's good therapy, plus you get to create things."
The Firehouse Art Center also hosts the Annual Chocolate Festival, and they offer art and craft classes to the community, according to their Web site. More information on upcoming events and classes can be found at http://normanfirehouse.moonfruit.com/.
